Elizabeth M. Adams

Elizabeth M. Adams (she/her/hers) is a technology integrator, working at the intersection of AI Ethics, Ethical Tech Design & Tech Inclusion. She passionately teaches, advises, consults, and speaks on the critical subjects within Diversity & Inclusion and Humane Engineering in Artificial Intelligence. Her work centers on shared leadership in the advancement of technology through a social science lens.

Elizabeth impacts the world around her every day serving as a Key Constituent for the United Nations 3C Roundtable on Artificial intelligence, Chief AI Ethics Advisor for Paravision and as a Race & Tech Fellow at Stanford University’s Institute of Human-Centered AI & Center for Comparative Studies in Ethnicity.

Elizabeth is a founding member of POSTME, a coalition advocating for Public Oversight of Surveillance Technology in Minneapolis. As co-lead of POSTME, Elizabeth’s leadership led to the city of Minneapolis banning Facial Recognition technology, a win for more tech transparency in support of ½ million residents. Having served as an appointed member of the Racial Equity Community Advisory Committee for the City of Minneapolis, Elizabeth continues to influence the local Civic Tech & Tech equity conversation and framework.

Over the last 20 years, she has refined her leadership acumen in tech design by leading a variety of technology initiatives in the Washington DC metro area for various Intelligence Agencies. Now she remains dedicated to embedding ethics in artificial intelligence systems and makes time to pursue her passion for helping others chart a path toward Purposeful A.I.

Elizabeth holds several professional certifications, a graduate Leadership Development Certificate from Johns Hopkins University, a Diversity and Inclusion Certificate from Cornell University, a B.A. in Business Management from Bethel University, and an MBA from Capella University.
